Daniel is
a indenpent reporter who goes round interviewing people about they life
stories. When he meets up with Louis he just thinks he is making up the
fact he is a vampire until he see’s his face. After Louis tells him
his story Daniel wants to made a vampire but Louis refuses
and drinks his blood and leaves him alive. Daniel write a book under the
name Anne Rice and sends it to be published as he makes his way to New Orleans
in search of Lestat and in the hope that he will make him into a vampire.
He plays his tapes of Louis taking hoping to encourage Lestat to come out
but it is Armand that appears. Armand keeps him prisoner for a short time,
trying to find out about modern life. Armand becomes fascinated with Daniel
he follows him and at strange times appears to him to ask him questions.
Daniel is at
his wits end he does know what to do he runs from Armand but he always finds
him. Daniel always asks Armand to make him into a vampire.Finally after
4 years of following he let Daniel drink from him and so Daniel
becomes his lover with a vial of Armand’s blood around his neck to
protect him from other vampires. They have many arguments where Daniel disappears
for months at a time. Most of these argument because Armand will not make
Daniel a vampire. They relationship continues like this for 6 years. Daniel
finds out about Lestat’s book and reads it and also finds out about
the concert and wants to go to it. Daniel starts to have strange dreams
with 2 red haired twins in it he does not know what this means.
After a long absence Armand finds Daniel in a bad state he has been drinking
none stop and his body has about given in. Armand knows that Daniel will
die within a
year and he can’t stand the thought of this so he turns him into a
Vampire.
