I know it's been so long since I updated. My Lord of the Rings site has kind of took over everything. For those who don't know Stan Rice died in December it must be an very sad time for Anne. Anne's site has been up dated and looks very nice all flash and stuff although it does take some time to load. An lot of people I know are having trouble getting the site to load so be patient. Anne is now saying that she will longer be writing about Vampire's and Witche's many rumous are going round that she is in fact going to kill off Lestat. Angel time is said to be the last book . She say's she is going into writing catholic books. I haven't done much on the site I have read Blackwood Farm and I keep meaning to add an page and I will do in time. To be honest when I can be bothered.
I have updated my New Orleans page view it here

17th May

I have added a new page and section one about Christopher Rice.
I am also adding a new section to the web site called book of the moment I will update it with my favourite book at that time which will have a review about it and some things to find out more about it. The book might not always be an Anne Rice book it might be another author. Or I could always have a book up that is Anne Rice related about her or her books. At the moment the book of the moment is Destiny of Souls by Christopher Rice.

12th May

Also some info on the book from another site link to page

In her new novel, perennial bestseller Anne Rice fuses her two uniquely seductive strains of narrative -- her Vampire legend and her lore of the Mayfair witches -- to give us a world of classic deep-south luxury and ancestral secrets.

Welcome to Blackwood Farm: soaring white columns, spacious drawing rooms, bright, sun-drenched gardens, and a dark strip of the dense Sugar Devil Swamp. This is the world of Quinn Blackwood, a brilliant young man haunted since birth by a mysterious doppelgänger, “Goblin,” a spirit from a dream world that Quinn can’t escape and that prevents him from belonging anywhere. When Quinn is made a Vampire, losing all that is rightfully his and gaining an unwanted immortality, his doppelgänger becomes even more vampiric and terrifying than Quinn himself.

As the novel moves backwards and forwards in time, from Quinn’s boyhood on Blackwood Farm to present day New Orleans, from ancient Athens to 19th-century Naples, Quinn seeks out the legendary Vampire Lestat in the hope of freeing himself from the spectre that draws him inexorably back to Sugar Devil Swamp and the explosive secrets it holds.

A story of youth and promise, of loss and the search for love, of secrets and destiny, Blackwood Farm is Anne Rice at her mesmerizing best.

Witching Hour Series

Rice's Hour Bewitches NBC
NBC will develop a 12-hour limited series based on Anne Rice's The Witching Hour trilogy of novels, Variety reported. The Wolper Organization and Warner Brothers TV will produce the series, which will likely be budgeted at between $40 million and $50 million and will be aimed at the 2003-04 season, the trade paper reported.

John Wilder (Feast of All Saints) has been signed to adapt Rice's three novels, The Witching Hour, Lasher and Taltos. The Witching Hour tells the story of the Mayfair Witches, a fictional New Orleans family with a supernatural history, the trade paper reported.

NBC may air the trilogy as three four-hour miniseries, possibly in November, February and May sweeps of the 2003-04 season, or air the 12 hours as a weekly series or over the course of one or two weeks, the trade paper reported.

NBC won't formally give a green light to the project until it sees several hours of the script, but it's unlikely the network would acquire the TV rights to the project if it didn't intend to produce it, Variety reported.
